I need to map out a daily production schedule in Gantt format, but need the timeline to show hours and minutes instead of days/weeks/months.

I want to be able to make standardized work documents for changeovers/process information. I can't do that in smartsheet due to the lack of hours/minutes in the project sheets (I want to have the gantt chart to the right)
Of course I could do something like
but it would be nice if I could just say a task is 5 hours right in the sheet and see it reflected with the correct formatting like I can with the days, and build task hierarchies/see the critical path
You can place the suffix H after your duration unit, but the smallest increment on the Gantt timeline is unfortunately DAYS.
I would like to see this changed also.
I also need the ability to see schedules to the minute. Lack of this capability makes Smartsheets ineffective as a cutover scheduling tool. Instead I'm using Microsoft Project. And because I can't use Smartsheets as a cutover scheduling tool I'm not using it at all. Which means I will likely end my subscription.
I would like that also. I've put in a feature request.
I love that I can enter down to milliseconds (or decimal values of minutes, seconds, etc), but these are not very useful if I can't visualize the process. The smallest visualization of 1 day / 1 week is limiting. I need a zoom to show me incredibly short timeframes (some as small as 10ms, some as large as 3s).
I would love being able to put minutes and hours in the Gantt visual.
It would be great if we can put hours and/or min to the timeline view of the day…
This is a needed feature for some of the more technical aspects of project management like go-live tasks when launching software or pushing platform updates. My current need that had me seeking this functionality is to build a "schedule of scheduled jobs" to track when our various connected systems run:
I'd love to be able to enter this in grid view (for simplicity) then be able to quickly switch to Gantt view so my project team & stakeholders can clearly see dependencies.
Dear Smartsheet team, We have been using Smartsheet for many years and have found one major area our administrative efforts are redundant is copying over tasks into our Calendar to manage hour-by-hour dependencies. In an ideal scenario our Outlook, Google Calendar, and or Apple Calendars would all sync to the SmartSheet project and reflect the hour-by-hour implications of larger-scope project changes. Is there a roadmap for this to be included? Many thanks from Toronto.
This would be useful to me as well: hour-by-hour Gantt charts, that also span longer periods (days). For example, outline a weeklong workshop, or a construction project, or a concert.
This has been requested before, but it would be hugely useful for Gantt charts to have the options of smaller granularity of time. For me, minutes would be enough, but for others, even seconds could be useful. But for example, planning a concert, or complicated construction project, or a week-long intensive workshop would benefit from this.
While I'm here, I would prefer templates to be without dummy data that must be deleted.
Ditto to all, adding a comment only to bring some light back to this if anyone from smartsheet monitors this forum
I have a workflow with nearly 40 automations, half of which are email-based requests for updates with various sets of triggers. While I know the automations work, due to months of testing, when our system went live to the institution, I became very worried that the automations wouldn't run and I'd have no idea whether or…
Description: When users upload multiple photos in one action via the Smartsheet iOS mobile app, all files are assigned the same generic name and timestamp. This makes it difficult to identify individual photos and creates confusion in workflows that rely on accurate, unique file naming. Why This Matters: Industry Standard:…
Our consistent experience is that Smartsheet objects can take anywhere from 5-20 seconds to load. This feels extremely slow when you're actively facilitating a call and working between sheets, waiting for it to load. Other solutions in the industry have extremely fast, sub-5-second load times. I would request the product…
