Trigger and execute on different sheets

Hi, how do I tie a workflow from one sheet to trigger an action on another sheet?

Example, Sheet 1 has the trigger (Checkbox) that initiates a form on Sheet 2 to be sent out.

I hope you're well and safe!

You need to have the Destination sheet Workflow(s) set to trigger by date/time and check if the change that would trigger it has been changed from the Source sheet.

Another option could be to copy a row to the Destination sheet that would trigger the Workflow(s).

Would any of those options work/help?

I have a similar question. I don't want to copy the entire row to the new sheet. I want to trigger an automation that copies just some cells to another sheet. For example, when something in Sheet 1 is assigned to me, I want it to populate specific information in sheet 2. I am an owner/admin on both sheets.

Hi @Corina Borsuk

Currently copy row workflows will copy and enter in the entire row to the other sheet. You can hide any columns you don't want to see in the second sheet and the data will copy into hidden columns.

Another option would be to use a Report instead of a second sheet, where you only surface a few columns.
