Apply multiple separate filters at once to a calendar?

Is there any way to create a calendar (in a sheet, report, or Calendar App) and allow users to apply multiple filters (i.e. Region and Event Type) separately? I would rather not have to create/maintain a huge number of filters to cover every possible combination the user might want to see. I doubt the users would want to scroll through a huge list of filters to find the one they want. Thank you.

    Each user that has access should be able to create their own filters that will not affect anyone else.
