Copy changes from Clone Workspace to Live Workspace
Hello all,
We are working on a Workspace for a client and they have asked various changes to be made on their Workspace. We created a Clone Workspace to implement all changes and make sure it works correctly.
The requested changes had to do with:
- Adding new columns to a sheet & update columns order
- Adding column formulas
- Creating new workflows or changing existing ones
- Adding new reports + dashboards, editing dashboards, etc.
All changes are implemented in a “Test Clone environment” and now we are ready to apply these changes to the client’s working Workspace, which is live and used by their employees.
Which is the best and safest way we can “transfer” all those changes to the live Workspace? We would like to avoid doing ALL these changes again to the Live Workspace and somehow move them, safely, correctly and without repeating the same tasks.
Thank you for any ideas!

You MIGHT be able to leverage the API for this, but the only way I know of for sure is manual.

Hi @moraki
I hope you're well and safe!
Unfortunately, the most secure way is to do it manually.
If you've added columns, you could copy them over and then place them where they should be + there are similar tips/tricks, but it all depends on your changes.
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

Thank you for your replies.
@Andrée Starå This could work for the columns. Does it copy the data as well or just the columns and their properties? Also, if I copy existing columns will they be added again or will it change their order once I paste them to the new Sheet?
Would love to know more tricks like this. Is there anything similar for workflows?
