When A Cell Changes Value, Record Date of Change in A Another Cell

I know this wasn't possible in the past, but wondering if the functionality is available now.

Objective: When someone chooses the status of "Awaiting Sign Off" in a Requirements column, the date the "Awaiting Sign off" status was selected is recorded in a "Sing Off Aging" column.

Also, I maybe misread the questions, so you could maybe use the record a date action instead.
