Notify Workflow is sending all versions of a generated PDF - only want most current

We have a Smartsheet solution for a Change Management control process. Each time a step is completed, a PDF is updated and sent out as part of each process step. Our process results in 8-9 versions of the PDF.

Right now, when we use the notify workflow process and include the link to the PDF, we are getting a link to all versions when we only want it to send the link to the most current version. Having the multiple versions in the email is confusing to the person receiving the emails. It would be workable if the version number was somehow indicated. It is not. (FYI: it is the most current version that is listed on top of the list)

Does anyone know of a way to only send the most current version that does NOT require manual intervention?
