Left Align Primary Column Not Working Properly

It looks like there is spacing or tab on the left side of my primary column. I made sure there was no spacing and I tried to reapply the left alignment, but to no avail, I can't get rid of the extra spacing. Ideas?

They leave the spacing in the Primary Column to allow for the + or - boxes when you apply hierarchy.

The Primary column is always more to the right than the others. Unfortunately, i don't see any option to get rid of the extra spacing.

To add to Paul's excellent advice/answer.

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• Add another column and reference the values in the Primary, and then you can format it the same way as all other columns.
