How long should tech support take to respond?
On August 14 I sent tech support a critical question. I have a licensed admin on a sheet that is not able to make any changes.
I still have not received any response other than the usual quickie we got your e-mail.
If someone in tech support is watching my case number is.

Fixed.
I reread your response and found the culprit.
“Report with specific permissions but not the underlying source sheet?”
Thank you for jumping in. I guess you should close that case number at this point.

You noted that the Admin is on a sheet, but is it possible that they're shared to a Report with specific permissions but not the underlying source sheet?

you are correct it is a report. David has admin rights to that report as well as the workspace.

While we are at this..
The only way to eliminate changes in the underlying source sheet is to lock the columns correct? What about not being able to delete lines? I just tested it looks like they could accidentally delete a line let me know.

Thanks for following up! I'm glad you were able to find the source sheet and update permissions there.
You are correct about locking the columns, however keep in mind that Admin permissions allow edits to locked columns. You'll want to provide your user with Editor permissions to keep cells locked, see this table for more information:
You are also correct that Editors and Admins can delete entire rows, even if the columns are locked.
