Implement xlookup equivalent.
Current "vlookup" sometimes requires complete sheet rearrangement to work, and can preclude a reverse lookup from working, where xlookup can lookup anything in the sheet from a key field.
Excel did this years ago and there's really no reason to ever use vlookup there on a new formula again.
I agree with Roland! XLOOKUP function would be extremely helpful. As you said, with the reverse lookup, as well as the reference columns. If you add/remove columns in the sheet you are referencing, you don't have to go and fix all your VLOOKUP formulas to capture the correct column.

Just a headsup, you can use an INDEX(MATCH combination instead of a VLOOKUP in Smartsheet.
With this combination, you're referencing the two columns individually (the column to bring back data from and the column that has the matching value). This means you can re-order your columns in the source sheet as much as you want and it won't break your formulas.
