Filtering columns by Color

Using either conditional formatting or manually selecting a background color for a cell, it would be great if we could then sort or filter a column by a specific color. There could be numerous use cases for this including "highlighting changes made to a specific column that we want to filter on instead of using the "Highlight Changes" button which shows "ALL" changes in the sheet."

I miss this feature so very much in Smartsheet. I find myself taking data to google sheet or excel just to do this (which ruins my efficiency!)

I 100% agree. Filtering by color would up my game immensely. I use a lot of color to keep track of statuses in large grids. Filtering by color would allow me to use color more and sort quickly.

  • I'm with the group on this one. I use the cell colors to quickly see info and it would be nice to filter by particular color(s)

I have conditional formatting that will colour-code cells based on specific dates and cannot filter or sort my sheet by cell colour.

  • I would like to be able to filter rows by a color of fill certain cells have. Often I'll set up a flag and used that to apply a conditional formatting to a cell. For example, if a cost over time increase, it gets flagged as red. I'd like to be able to sort out all "red" rows.

I'm sure this has been suggested before; however I do not see it and feel like it would be basic to implement.
