Standard Naming Convention For Projects in Control Center
Hello - I am looking to create a standard naming convention for all my projects. I want it to say, "Project Toolkit - INSERT PROJECT NAME".
When I went into Control Center to configure this, It wasn't clear to me how to configure this under the naming section. The Prefix should be the text, "Project Toolkit - " and the Suffix should be "Project Name"

Hi @Bria Berger
The naming can be confusing at first for sure. When you click in the white space under the bottom section, You should choose "Project Name" and click the Suffix bubble. Be sure that your Template Folder in Smartsheet is named "Project Toolkit". The " - " part is auto added between them. It auto adds it for the Prefix option for sure. I've actually never used the Suffix option.
In my experience its been better to have the Project Name as the Prefix to the files themselves and I usually make the Project Name the folder name by itself by choosing the "Exclude blueprint folder name". I do this for a few reasons, 1) when spacing columns that include links to the project folders, the shorter the better to free up screen space for other columns. 2) Every little bit of extra words that can be eliminated and still get the point across can add up to a better user experience. 3) The left panel that shows the workspaces might need to be all the way out just to see the project names whereas with the prefix selected you could tighten that up and allow for more screen space too.
Again, that's just my experience. I hope that helps. In the end your screen should look like this below but always run one through and see how it looks before autoprovisioning a bunch. -Matt
