Color coding automation
I have a column called initiatives and it has a dropdown with 5 different options. Is it possible to create an automation so that when option 1 is selected it turns the entire row blue. When option 2 is selected it turns green, and so on...
If so, how can I set this up?

This can be done through Conditional Formatting.

@JamesB doesn't seem to be working

Without providing any data that may be of a confidential nature, can you share a screenshot of the data in your initiatives column.

@JamesB I attached the photo above

I cannot recreate your issue. But I do see the way the rule is set on #1 it does not apply properly, it needs to be set like the other 4 below it. I do see that in your screenshot that 1 is currently strikethrough. Do you have a previous rule in your set that sets the strikethrough condition. If so, this may be overriding your colors, as rules higher in the conditional formatting will apply first.
