Card view presentation - background images etc

Hello, I'm fighting a losing battle promoting the use of Card View for Kanban use, due to its lack of customisation.
Other card solutions available (rhymes with Yellow) allow a level of customisation that makes the user feel more connected to the data. The use of background images, colours of cards etc.
Having this ability will attract more people and increase the level of retained users of the card view.
