I added a new rich text widget to an existing dashboard and mailto did not work. I tried on a NEW dashboard and mailto did not work...what am I doing wrong?

Hi @Maxine B, when you say 'did not work' what do you mean? Were you unable to save it to the widget? Are you getting an error? Is your default mail app not opening when you clicked the link?

At the moment, mailto links are not supported on Published dashboards.

On the new dashboard I created, it was not changed to a link so when I clicked nothing happened.

Hello, I created a new dashboard recently and added a rich text widget and mailto did not work. What am I doing wrong? It works in the edit view but does not work on the view only dashboard for the public.

Just following up to let you know that MailTo links now work on published Dashboards!

My company uses Outlook.

The Shortcut widget has been successful with the below mailto URL since I got access early 2024.
