Capturing the URL that someone was on where they clicked to get to the smarsheet form
I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to capture the URL for a web page that someone was on when they click on a link to a smartsheet. Basically, I'm using a Smartsheet web form to capture comments about a website. The comments would be about the information on the specific page the user is on. Is there a way to get that URL to automatically be captured in Smartsheet?
Thanks for any insights you can offer!

What you should do is duplicate the forms, and then create a hidden field called "Page Description" and fill it in.
Then, copy the form URL which matches the page description, and use it on that specific page. This way, when a comment is made -- information about which page the form was submitted on will transfer with the comment.

Hi Jacob,
Thanks for your response. I'm not sure that I follow you exactly, but it sounds like it wouldn't work. The user would be on a public website with many thousands of pages. On each of those web pages there will be a link that would take them to the Smartsheet form where they can enter feedback. I'm hoping for some way to automate getting the URL for the public web page they were on to populate in the Smartsheet.

It sounds like you'll need a developer to create a custom web form using the smartsheet API, with a custom developed form -- you can then use JavaScript to get the URL parameters of the current page within your Smartsheet Sheet.
