How can I update two sheets with the same information?

Hi,

I have a sheet I use to update my teams webinar calendar. Another team in the business would also like to know when a webinar relevant to their team has been added to this sheet, so it replicates on their own training calendar. Is this possible?

I was added as Admin to their calendar. I tried setting up an automation whereby if a column was updated, the relevant row and its information moved from my smartsheet to theirs. But when I checked their sheet, it had not carried across. Is this because the fields in mine and their sheets i.e. in the top row do not match?

Thanks

Rhianna

    Hi @RhiannaHead

I hope you're well and safe!

Yes, the names need to match, but there are ways around it.

You could use cross-sheet formulas combined with either a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH structure to connect the sheets, and when you update the source sheet, it will reflect on the destination sheet.

Another option would be to use so-called helper sheets. In short, copy the row to a helper sheet and then use my method described previously to get the values you need to another helper sheet and then copy/move the row from that sheet to the main destination sheet.

    Make sense?

    I hope that helps!

Be safe, and have a fantastic week!
