Alert notification - link/URL not clickable
Hi,
In so many questions already asked here there's the same issue ... how do I get an URL linkable in an automated alert text? And all provided solutions didn't work out for me although the issue is the very same.
I placed a link to a Smartsheet form into my alert message both ways, as a text and as a cell reference, but once the email is sent, the receiver doesn't get a clickable link but text only.
Both "links" show up in the email, the cell reference and the text. Both look same and are no clickable links.
I also selected "link to sheet and specific fields" but that places the link at the very end of the message which doesn't look proper.
Would be happy to get a solution for this. Thanks.
Michael

This sounds like it may be an issue with your mail provider. Have you tried any other mail providers, to see if the URL appears as clickable?

Hi Jacob ... you're absolutely right.
The reason was not really the mail provider on my (the receiver's side) but more the mail client application itself. Although I marked the mail as "no spam" it actually deactivated the links. The same app on a smartphone shows the links correctly and clickable. Same effect when using a browser to read the mails.
Thanks a lot for the hint.
Best regards
Michael
