When we send a message to users while sharing a sheet, the email used to display the carriage returns and paragraph breaks. Now, it lumps the sentences together and they look like run-on ideas. See screenshot.
Is there something I'm missing?
Hello D—
You're not missing anything, this is expected behavior. We don't have a way to preserve carriage returns when sending emails from Smartsheet.
When you have a moment, submit a Product Enhancement Request using the form under Quick links on the right of the community site.
Thanks for the response, Shaine.
Something must have changed since June 21. Here's a screenshot of a sharing email on June 21, 2017 that preserves the carriage returns.
I can add this as a feature request, but it's a feature that's been there recently.
D—Apologies, as I may be wrong about it being expected behavior. I wasn't seeing it as a known bug in our system and was able to reproduce the behavior on my end...
Reach out to our Support team and troubleshoot further with them. This may be a bug or it could be a behavioral change that I'm not aware of.
