Hi, I have the Google Calendar sync setup with my Smartsheet. It's syncing properly for me. I see events added to the Smartsheet Calendar and they feed to my Google Calendar (and vice versa). How do I get my team to see the same on their end when they log into Smartsheet? I want the team that logs into Smartsheet to be able to view my synced Google Calendar

  • Hey @PM_Ninja312

Are your team viewing the spreadsheet in Calendar view?

They should be able to see the calendar events if they're on the sheet.

Yes, they have access to the sheet. And yes they are viewing from the calendar view. They all have the same permissions but their view doesn't pull in anything from the Google Calendar. Meanwhile, I'm able to see everything that's added to the Google Calendar.

    Hi @PM_Ninja312

A Google Calendar overlay is only visible to you - your shared users won't see your Google Calendar details. There's a note at the bottom of this article: Overlay a Google Calendar

    Cheers,

    Genevieve

Hi @Genevieve P. Thank you for this. That's kinda frustrating. Are there any options for making it visible to other shared users? It doesn't quite remove the need to manage two calendars in two places if I still have to manually add everything to my Smartsheet calendar in order for others to see it. I want my customer to be able to see the sahred overlayed Google Calendar my team and I have.

  • Looks like your sync is working for you, but to have your team view the same Smartsheet calendar, you'll need to share that Smartsheet (or its calendar view) with them. Once you grant them access, they can log in and see all events. If you’re not sure how to adjust sharing settings, check Smartsheet’s help docs on sharing and permissions.

By the way, if you ever move both calendars to Google, I built StopDoubleBookings.com to keep two Google Calendars perfectly in sync—https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/calendar_sync_stop_double_calendar_booki/612647169352
