Help with copy/past functions

I am struggling with this. I cannot copy from or paste into a cell. This is a new issue for me, it's always worked properly in the past. The dashed line shows like it's copied, but it doesn't actually copy. If I CTRL-V to paste, nothing happens. Right click and paste is not available. I've tried double clicking in the cell first and it pastes what I copied from somewhere else, not what I copied (and need) from SmartSheet. Someone please help, this is getting dire.
