Is it possible to use a workflow with a multi dropdown request type and multiple assignees?

Recently, I made a change to the logic for my request form and received an error message for the previous workflow - see screenshot. My users need to be able to choose one or more request types. Then, I would like to use the workflow to assign specific requests to one or more coworkers.

Is this possible? If so, how can I fix the workflow to assign the specific request types?

@knc1008a Because of a multi-select, the workflow cannot handle the data. I have something similar and I used helper columns and formulas to break out the multi-select items into individual cells. Then I created workflows to look at each column to perform assignments.
