Assistance Needed: Setting Up an Alert in Smartsheet for Unassigned Audits

Options

I'm currently working on optimizing our workflow in Smartsheet and could use some guidance on setting up a specific alert mechanism. Our team manages incoming audit requests through Smartsheet, and we're looking to improve our response time for these requests.

  • If an audit hasn't been assigned within an hour of its arrival, an alert should be sent to our team's Slack channel.
  • The alert should remind the team to assign someone to the new request promptly.

I'm not entirely sure how to set up this kind of alert, especially with the integration between Smartsheet and Slack for real-time notifications. Has anyone here set up a similar alert system or have any insights on how to achieve this? Any advice, tips, or step-by-step guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help!

You might try creating a workflow that is triggered when a new row is added.

    1. Trigger: 'When rows are added'
    2. When: 'Date' is 'Any Value' (as an example)
    3. Run Workflow: 'Hourly'
    4. Conditions: Where 'Assigned' 'is blank'
    5. Action: 'Alert someone'

I just saw this, and this idea was the first thing that came to mind.
