Is there a way to directly link project-level SmartSheets into a master (summary) sheet?

Our team maintains project-level SmartSheets which we want to link to a master sheet for purposes of maintaining a consolidated sheet of all projects. Is there functionality in SmartSheets to link sub-sheet data into a master sheet that will also link drop-down lists from the sub-sheet? We have tried cell linking but the master sheet will not pull in drop down lists from the sub-sheet.

Not answering your question directly but I wonder if you should not look into having a master project sheet first, then link out to the project-level sheets.

This is how the Smartsheet project portfolio template is implemented.

Regarding dropdown lists dynamic update, there is only this solution and it requires that you already have all projects listed in a way or another in the same location (could even be external to Smartsheet, i.e. an Excel file)

• A report showing all projects
• Premium App, Control Center with an Intake sheet that would give you this and so much more.

For drop-down lists.

• I recently developed a solution for a client where the Dropdown lists are kept updated using the premium app Data Shuttle.
