HELP! Why are access requests going to all sheet Admins?

Is there a way to turn this 'feature' off? Just because a person has been deemed an 'admin' on a sheet, does not mean they are aware of the sharing protocol and restrictions that the Owner may have.

Instead of a blanket protocol, can the designation be set at the Workspace level or something?

I would love to know as well. I am a workspace owner and am being inundated with requests from sheet admins to turn off the large volumes of access requests we are all getting now.

Yes thank you - I did read that post as well. It says why the change was made but the only solution was to downgrade someone from Admin to Editor. There is no way to leave them as an Admin and turn off the requests.

@Jeanette Kingsland - correct, it's currently all or nothing. SS stated they are contemplating adding a role that would be in between Admin & Editor - no idea if they are actually working on that or not.

This is a really really bad idea.....we have 30+ people getting these now.

Hi all --

Just checking if anything has happened with this. I have people who need to be sheet admins for their work but who should not be receiving all the sharing requests. They're getting quite understandably confused.

Is there any way we can adjust who receives sharing requests at the sys admin level? (Besides downgrading sheet access, which isn't an option.)

I am getting so many complaints internally due to these sheet access requests going to all Admins including the exec team. It is annoying to them particularly. I cannot downgrade them to Editor because there are other features within Admin they need to use.
