Prevent Deletion of Comments

Is there some way to prevent the deletion of a comment or restrict it to admins only? I am using the comments as sort of an audit log, so I want to preserve all entries...

According to the help article, "Users with Owner, Admin, Editor, or Commenter permissions to the sheet can create a comment." They can also remove the comments they added.

For your purposes, I would use copy row automation to keep all the comments' records when a comment is added.
