Hello! I am an auditor with a major retailer. Some aspects of my work have involved regulatory compliance and reporting. I would love to learn how Smartsheet is being used in the government sector to further those ends.

    Hi everyone,

    I am Jacob.

Where do you work and what’s your department/role?

I do consulting as a contractor to State and Local Government agencies. I have been part of various teams and my last role for Director of Data Operation's for a Mission for one of the popular cities in the US.

How long have you been using Smartsheet?

I have been using Smartsheet for, on and off, about 8 years now, some of which has been in Healthcare.

How are you using Smartsheet or Smartsheet Gov today or planning to in the future?

The easy at which data can be collated and shared within Smartsheet makes it the go to for me for any project I have to do that involves Data Gather, Data Analysis and even Reporting. It's easy to deploy and use. Sharing the data is also exciting because users don't need to be share on my asset to be view what they need to see to make decisions or just for situational awareness.

Automations is another aspect that I enjoy doing most. It helps simplify a lot of work that has to be done, keep track on deliverables and the notifications, can't say enough about those.

What else would you like to learn from your peers in government?

One major issue I had, and submitted an enhancement idea for, is being able to embed Power Bi (.gov domains) into dashboards, so I don't have users moving out of Smartsheet to view Power Bi dashboards. It would be best to have it all in one space.

Would also like to learn a bit on formula tricks that I can adopt when manipulating my data.

It's a pleasure meeting you all.

    Best regards,

    Jacob A. PMP, AgileXP, CSM
