How do you Reactivate a Workflow upon Declining and Approval on a Form

Can someone please tell me the best way to make updates to a declined form and reactive a workflow when those updates have been made?

I appreciate your help!

  • I have a field trip form that has multiple layers of approvals. If one of the approvers declines the form due to additional information needed or a correction done, can the original person that filled out the form correct those errors and resubmit. I need it to go through the workflow again if the update the errors. Does this make sense?

  • @Christi H. did you ever get a solution that works for this? I have a very similar question.

Yes actually I had a pro desk appointment and they helped me figure it out. So this is my setup:

Workflow 1 - Go through normal routing of approvals. On each of those, I put if declined, they have to select a reason through an update.

Workflow 2 - The teacher gets notified of the reason for decline. They can update the information in a Revised column.

Workflow 3 - Trigger 3 is when any value is put in that Revised column it triggers the workflow. I built the same workflow as workflow 1. I am not giving them another option here to retrigger the workflow again if it gets declined.

    I hope this makes sense.
