How do you Reactivate a Workflow upon Declining and Approval on a Form

Can someone please tell me the best way to make updates to a declined form and reactive a workflow when those updates have been made?

I have a field trip form that has multiple layers of approvals. If one of the approvers declines the form due to additional information needed or a correction done, can the original person that filled out the form correct those errors and resubmit. I need it to go through the workflow again if the update the errors. Does this make sense?
