Smartsheet Automation Not Registering Column Type Dropdown List with Option Character length = 128

I noticed that if I have a Column Type = Dropdown List with an Option = 128 length of standard alphabet characters, then the Automation template for "Change a cell value when specified criteria are met" does not recognize that option when assigning a Condition off that Option.

As soon as I redesigned the Option = 17 length of standard alphabet characters, then the Automation template for "Change a cell value when specified criteria are met" successfully recognized the Condition off the redesigned Option.

Can we relax or increase the character length on the Column Type = Dropdown List such that Automation can recognize it?

I realize this is about a year old now, but I just confirmed with Tech support this morning 4/11/25 that there is indeed an issue with drop down options greater than 100 chars in length. You can list them as options and they show up in forms and in the sheet as legitimate choices to choose from, but in automations and condition formatting on your sheet they won't show as an option to trigger off of. My tech support rep I was working with this morning is going to submit a bug report, so hopefully down the road this gets fixed.
