Move Control Center profile data to Sheet Summary fields

Options

Having to list the profile data in the template is messy and distracting, and frankly looks pretty janky. You already have Sheet Summary fields tucked away on the side panel, able to run formulas, collect metrics, and link in data from intake.

This would obviously require the ability to cell link out from Sheet Summary to the summary sheet, which I'd guess is one of the limiters to doing this. But it would be so, so nice to have Control Center templates look more professional than regular templates, not less, by shifting metadata away from the top of the sheet.

@Brian_Richardson one of my clients uses a metadata sheet vs having the information at the top of the template. This way they can collect metadata from different templates into one sheet. The intake sheet populates most of the data, and this data is shared across multiple sheets. It also has data linked in from other sheets. It is project unique.

Yes, the problem with that approach though is that you cannot use Global Update on that profile data. You can’t add profile data to a metadata sheet and then have that cell link from the schedule or whatever you’re getting metrics from. It’s a good solution for something that won’t change, but change is inevitable.

If profile data was shifted to the summary fields instead of rows, that would significantly clean up the templates without having to introduce a slew of cross-sheet references and links.
