Exporting sheets/reports from a dynamic view in a WorkApp

Within a WorkApp, users are able to download from a dynamic view of a sheet or report. However, exporting to CSV is the default. Is there a way to make exporting to Excel the default? We just have to provide specific instructions to users to be sure to Save As in Excel, or else they end up saving in CSV which does not save their formatting work.
