Unable to display dashboard charts when owner is transferred

We have a workspace developed for our projects and I've noticed that if I create the space for someone else and pass off ownership, once I'm removed, the dashboard no longer works.

What happens is the dashboard charts indicate "unable to display chart" and I'm not sure how to fix this. Once I'm re-added, it works again. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Have them create a copy of the workspace and use their copy as the "production".
