When I send a sheet as an attachment, does the sheet sent reflect the applied filter?

Not sure on how sending a sheet as an attachment? but if sending as a link to the sheet then No. Sheet will appear based on the filter set at the time they click the link. This also applied to the view, Gantt - Grid etc..

Would setting up a dashboard to display certain data from the sheet work as an alternative? Dashboard data or reports to the same can not be manipulated.

I think he means in File —> Send as Attachment —> Excel /PDF, if that file reflects the filter, you have it applied on the last save of the sheet, or it just sends the whole sheet. I do have an answer to that, partially…

For me it works if I do it with a shared filter, and I press Send Now, but if I schedule it to be recurring, then it sends the whole document, it doesn't apply the filter anymore…Do you know how I can do that as well?

I am having the same issue with a report that I have reoccuring send as attachment set up. The filtering I have applied to the report is not being reflected in the attachment being emailed.
