Automated Backup of Project Files

I would like to back up our project files on a weekly basis. I set up Smartsheet to do this and it creates a Zip Folder. When I try to access the files in the Zip folder, I am not able to open it. I was thinking that excel files were going to be created as if I was doing it on a single back up of a project. What I am trying to do is elevate backing up our project files, one-by-one.

Are you not able to extract the excel files from the zip folder (using something like 7zip for example?)

If you have access to Data Shuttle, you can set this up on an individual sheet by sheet basis as well.
