Email address for a sheet

Would love to be able to send an email directly to a sheet without using the Outlook Smartsheet plug in. This would enable an outlook rule to automatically send regular emails, such as a daily .csv report from Salesforce, directly to a sheet that would in turn trigger datashuttle.

This is an interesting idea and approach! I wonder if there would be a way to maybe even link it with workflow automations on sheets, which could fire off an update and Data Shuttle sync. Or even, just completely replace the data shuttle auto-sync with a manual trigger instead! I would even love this outside of data workflows, but instead with document attachments or data entry. Basically, sending an attachment to a given sheet address could even enable it to be parsed for specific fields, which could populate a whole row in Smartsheet sheets instead (thinking for form collection or response gathering use cases).

Yes, as well as uploading data into a new grid!

Can Salesforce write the csv files directly to OneDrive or GoogleDrive? If so you you can have DataShuttle pick up the file directly from there and update the sheet.

If Salesforce emails you the csv files you can use Power Automate to watch for incoming email messages from a specific sender, with a specific subject and an attachment and automatically extract the attachment to OneDrive and then DataShuttle will update the sheet.

If you want a separate email address then you can use Zapier (free). You can get a unique email address to send the email to and then Zapier will save the attachment to OneDrive or GoogleDrive.

We generally know about what day/time the emails from our data systems arrive and schedule DataShuttle for an hour later.
