Search results docked and kept open

When searching there are often multiple hits. I select one but find it is not what I was looking for. Then have to re-search and scroll down often having to click 'more results' to get back to the next item I need to check. Very slow and time consuming.

If the search window with results could be docked and kept open and allow quick selection of hits, that would make a search process much faster. Particularly if you are not exactly sure of what you are looking for, wording wise.
