Any progress on Outbox of Smartsheet email activity?

Looking at previous Community questions, one in particular from 2020 - is there any way to see the Smartsheet notifications being sent out for each sheet? The reason why I ask, is I want to be able to verify that individuals were successfully sent the notifications and a timestamp of when, and if possible, to also see if they opened the notification. I couldn't find any more information regarding this and was curious if there has been any progress on this ask?

In some cases I will add a date column to record the date a certain notification was sent. It's a clunky workaround.
