Automating Task Assignments based on Custom Fields - Emmanuel Katto

Hello All, I am Emmanuel Katto from Uganda. I'm trying to automate task assignments in Smartsheet based on custom fields, but I'm running into some issues. I have a custom field called 'Project Type' with values 'Marketing', 'Sales', and 'Development'. I want to assign tasks to specific users based on the value of this field. For example, if the Project Type is 'Marketing', I want to assign the task to John Smith. If it's 'Sales', I want to assign it to Jane Doe.

Can anyone provide some guidance on how to set up a formula or automation rule to achieve this? Or is there a better approach I should be taking?

    Select Automation (top left) > Create workflow from template >Under Sheet Changes, Select Assign someone when specified criteria are met > Use Template > Name the automation >When 'Product Type' changes to 'Marketing'> Assign People in 'John Smith'

    Do the above steps to the other departments
