Access or recover DataMesh owned by a deactivated User

Is there a way to access or recover DataMeshes that were owned by a deactivated User?

    Hi @Julie Nelson!

    In order to transfer DataMesh configurations, you usually need to follow these steps:

    • DataMesh Config Ownership Requirements:
    • The new owner must be a user on your Smartsheet plan and have signed in to the DataMesh application (datamesh.smartsheet.com).
    • The new owner must have Admin-level sharing permissions or higher on both the source and target sheets.
    • Transfer the Configuration:
    • Select the Transfer icon on the right of the DataMesh window.
    • Type the email address associated with the Smartsheet account that you want to transfer your configuration to.
    • The recipient will receive an email notification asking them to sign in to DataMesh and accept the transfer.
    • Once they sign in to DataMesh and accept the transfer, they will become the new owner of the configuration.

    For your specific case, since the user is deactivated and no longer part of the company/organization, you will need to open a support ticket. Please specify that the user is deactivated so our support team can assist you with the transfer.
