How to make automation work with a sheet

I am trying to work out how automation will work for a timesheet sheet i am making. I want supervisors to be informed when specific column goes above a certain value?

For example,

Excess hours are above 6 hours i want to be notified.

I have the automation and trigger set up i just can't get it to work unless than number is 6
