Dashboard Widget Behavior - Open widget in modal window, allow resizing

I love the wider real estate in the dashboard. It would be great if we could take advantage, by making dashboard widget items much smaller (smaller fonts), so we can populate more items on the dashboard. But then, have the ability to enlarge widgets as needed —

• either mouse-over or click on the widget
• widget opens in a floating modal window (dashboard underneath)
  (this behavior can be set by the creator, or, set as a quick drop-down choice if the creator allows for the viewer to select enlarge, goto source, etc.)
• be able to re-size the window.
• close the window when done

This function would apply to all widgets — including Dynamic Views (another feature I love and am replacing all of my dashboard reports with them!)
