Great news! Our latest updates make workspaces simple to build, highly adaptable, work-focused solutions that promote increased productivity and better results all in one location from the big picture down to the details. With our improved workspace, you can create, manage and share everything you need to run anything as simple as a task list or as sophisticated as a world-wide program for multi-million dollar projects.

With this release, we’ve also improved Home, Search and Create - tying into a broader theme of bringing all the pieces you need to manage work’s little, and big, problems in a single place. We’re building off the recent momentum we made to the workspace solution panel, WorkApps, etc. empowering users of all experience levels to easily solve a business challenge by assembling the platform pieces necessary to address it. 

Here’s what you can expect next time you open Smartsheet:

• A sleek, new Home experience showcasing both suggested items and all of your workspaces, quickly getting you into your work without the need to visit Browse.
• Our improved Search has moved to the left rail alongside the other navigation tools making it easier to find that specific anything you need to reference or action. Search is smarter than ever with better fuzzy matching, forgiving misspellings and when users don’t remember the exact name -we’ve all been there.
• A faster way to jump-start work that allows users to quickly create a workspace from the get go and add to it for easy organization. 

And this is just the start of our mission - helping you solve problems easier, no matter how daunting. Stay tuned as we continue to improve this and turn our focus to supporting more complex portfolios of work.

I hope you are not planning to eliminate the folder in the left rail that shows all workspaces. I own more than I can count and need to be able to view them quickly and check on sharing by scrolling and clicking.

I love the new design! Although the new sidebar icons aren't as great for accessibility when scaled on larger displays. Would love some adjustment to even be able to make them a bit larger.

I realize that is it likely different teams that work on the home page presentment as compared to the actual sheet functionality. However, there are DOZENS of actual functional improvements that would make my life with Smartsheet easier and better:

• Better cross sheet references
• Improved conditional formatting
• Actual interactive dashboarding
• Move / copy partial row data
• Customizable symbol drop down (red, yellow, green, grey AND blue in the same column)
• Many many more

A pretty home page is very low on my list.

All these enhancements are a total waste of time. they are not focusing on the most important thing which is adding row to reports and grouped reports and to the regular sheets. please focus on that and only on that

Nice, but need the ability to hide rows, auto close Conversations, Attachments, Proofs, etc. when you click outside of the right pane, Latest Comment column hover over it to see more than just 1 comment, and many more.

As a proponent and champion of Smartsheet for my organization, I am disappointed by this new Home page design. I submitted my feedback on the new Home page, which is cluttered with visual noise - not sleek. But would like to add a few items here.

Improvements to the home page users have requested and are not part of this restructured Home page design are the ability to choose/customize what items are displayed on their home page and the ability to choose either to alphabetize or customize the display order of the items on the home page. I am confused as to why these simple improvements to the user experience were not included in this redesign. A substantive number of Smartsheet users are on laptops due to the growing hybrid and remote work community. The smaller standard image tiles used previously were much more useful for laptop and mobile device screen sizes. Adding the ability to choose what items are on your top row - would have been magic!

In contrast, the move to gigantic tiles that limit the number of items that can be displayed usefully in the Smartsheet App window without the user scrolling down the home page does not improve the user experience. Placing the title of the item at the bottom of the tile forces the user to keep scrolling to find the item they want. Even though the tiles now are gigantic the "pictures" of the Smartsheet asset (sheet, report, etc.) are still tiny and illegible and do not add value to the user experience but make it more difficult to parse through the random display of the tiles.

As a member of the Early Adopters, I am surprised this Home page redesign was not beta-tested in the Early Adopters for user feedback before launching.

Users have overwhelmingly requested Smartsheet add the ability to print grouped reports, copy/move partial row data, and ability to set a customized reply to email addresses for automations for years. I truly hope that Smartsheet listens and brings this 'begged for' functionality to its users soon.
