Change default date format for the organization

The current default date format is MM/DD/YYYY for all sheets in Smartsheet. Many people in our organization dislike this format and opt to change the date format for individual sheets they are working on to be in a different format, such as DD/MM/YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD.

The issue is that when different departments and teams are sharing sheets, dashboards, etc. the date formats are inconsistent and often lead to confusion, specifically for the MM/DD/YYYY vs. DD/MM/YYYY formats.

Our team universally agrees that the YYYY-MM-DD format is the best one to avoid confusion. However, we have to now change all individual sheets that are created to this format, which is both tedious and prone to mistakes. Some sheets will always get missed, and we are back to our original confusion problem.

There should be a way to change the default date format for all sheets created in an organization's smartsheet environment.

The ability to have custom date or any custom text formatting, or even the TEXT() function, all of which Excel has had for 30 years, would be a good start.
