Automation-Date in the past
I have a column named "Shipping Date" and then, a second column with a formula that gives us a date 5 weeks prior to that "Shipping Date".
This second column triggers and automation to contact the customer once the date is reached. What if the line is entered and the 5-week gap is a date in the past? How should our automation look like to ensure we're getting this alert?

You could use the formula weeknumber which you could use to subtract from the formula column, you either an positive or neg number pending on past or future. Then you can use your automation and this helper column to trigger the alert, not sure if this would work for you or not.

I would create a separate automation (I prefer this for management) that simply triggers when the prior date column changes to any value and a condition of that value being in the past.
