Smartsheet recovery sheet
Hello,
I am the owner of a sheet and an admin has erased everything. How can I restore a previous version of it?

Unfortunately, there is no version control, or 'time machine' tool. The 'simplest' way would be to use the activity log, look for the "Rows Deleted" and just start copying/pasting. Have the sheet open in 2 windows, one to copy from, the other to paste into, so that you don't have to keep closing the activity log window. If the cells were just cleared (not deleted rows), the other way is you could look at the cell history of each cell and copy/paste from there as another option.
If there's concern of this happening again, you can set up a recurring email to send you an Excel copy of the sheet in File > Send as Attachment… Send it to yourself as often as you'd like to make recovering the data a lot easier in the future.
