JOIN function

I am trying to JOIN 2 cells (same sheet) and it is returning an error:

=JOIN([# Dosed]2:[N]2, " / ")

Now I get it; the formula works; however, the COLUMNS/CELLS need t be right next to one another?

=JOIN([# Dosed]4:N4, "/")

Any way that that can be altered?
