Account Color Palletes

I would love the ability to add a larger org color palette that is applied not just to new sheets but dashboards and reports. Being able to add the entire companies palette across all items would also help reduce time in creating by not having to manually have employees add the palette. I have already set up my company's branding and just having two colors of the 10 my company uses felt very limiting.

Thank you for sharing this idea, we're interested in hearing more! While this is not a part of our plan for the near future, our team is thinking about features just like this. If we believe we can make this idea a reality, we'll update the status here.

I find myself changes options all the time and it would be much easy to save my preferences.

Such as, legends always left, always on top, etc.

default fonts and sizes for titles.

I love the options and flexibility but if I’m working in one particular dashboard I would like to set a theme for that particular dashboard or even workspace.

I also agree. We have specific branding colors that are required and need the ability to set up my own Custom Theme that matches those needs. The templates are neat for someone without specific color requirements.

This idea of themes was announce as upcoming for 2 years in a row at ENGAGE, and 2 years ago at the innovation/idea lab area it was said there would be a phased roll-out which would include giving the user the ability to create their own themes.

@Ray Lindstrom - Thank you for being a historian. It's easy for companies to promise and not deliver, but it's even easier for users to get excited about promises and then forget they ever happened. I'm surprised that color themes for dashboards are rolling out before custom colors for actual sheets and reports. We've had the same colors in Smartsheet since the beginning:

@Ray Lindstrom thank you for bringing this up! It's been 2 years… maybe they'll actually implement this year.

Just to echo everyone else here, our company would love to be able to add custom colors/themes based on brand colors that can be applied to all Smartsheet assets. It's a shame this has yet to be rolled out. The set themes for dashboards are fun but not really functional/helpful for many companies.

Maybe to add onto this, as I echo and really like the ideas posted earlier, if this is an option, I would as well love the ability to live-deploy it to all active assets in Smartsheet as well. With custom logo and color schemes on the Smartsheet interface, the policy could only be added as an option, or mandated for all. Mandated for all would lock the customization, and but would instantly apply to all assets. If we deploy a color palate for other assets in Smartsheet, it would be great to allow for customization aside from the mandated, but to also allow this to be rolled out immediately without mandating it as a locked requirement.

SRLinhardt said it first and best. We NEED ways to stop doing the same formatting tasks 5000 times. Setting formatting defaults, memorizations, or offering format painter or copy-paste of formatting only would each independently solve a huge amount of this pain.

And more colors for goodness sake.

  • To have custom colors as a persistent palette throughout our account - not just per dashboard. Also make these custom colors available for conditional formatting rules.

This would be a great option to be inclusive of users who have color blindness.
