Vendor management workflow

Hello, I am brand new to Smartsheets and it was honestly purchased for other reasons but I think I can use this to track about 300 vendor due diligence life cycle requests. We have a vendor solution but I need something to track and send requests out side of that system as no one but me really uses it.

Does anyone use it for that purpose and would you mind sharing? I have a short window and don't have time to mess with it too much so I need to build it right the first time. Is a template or starting blank the best bet?

I will be looking for videos as well but I like to hear from those using the solution because they often have a better workflow and though of things the solution hasn't.

Welcome to Smartsheet! Yes, Smartsheet can work well for tracking vendor due diligence. I’d recommend starting with a template from the Smartsheet gallery to save time, it’ll give you a structure for tracking vendor info, statuses, and due dates, which you can customize as needed.

I would try using Forms for vendor submissions, Automations for reminders and notifications, and Dashboards for an overview of all vendor statuses.
