    Hi @pmillikin

    Smartsheet’s timeline view currently doesn’t allow manual reordering of bars or specific placement adjustments. However, you can try customizing the sort order by using a helper column with numbers or categories, then sorting the sheet based on that column. This will control the vertical order of bars in the timeline.

    Yes, I did this but it is ugly, not a solution to my ask. I don't want to have to edit the sheet or sort order whenever I need to tweak the visual. I would like to be able to edit the Timeline picture - a workaround could be exporting to powerpoint so I can move them around for a specific report. The helper column has it's own issues - please see my other suggestion for improvement on this: https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/132783/timeline-swimlanes-shouldnt-show-if-field-isnt-populated-for-items-in-view#latest
