We have almost 2400 projects and we run global updates for a hundred or more projects multiple times per week. Sometimes we run multiple global updates per day. The UI freezes after updating about 35 projects. This forces us to manually check the projects for completion even though the process keeps running. Running global updates at the 30/hr rate adds a significant administrative burden and mostly eliminates the benefit of the automation. Maybe simplifying the UI would help improve the performance. Two ideas come to mind: 1. Show only a green check mark when the project is updated (eliminate the In Queue and start and end timestamp) or 2. show a simple progress bar with percent complete. We could make the log available for errors or review like in other places within Smartsheet.
