Gantt Chart - Limited range

Hi All, hope everyone has a great 2025.

Noticed this morning Gantt view now only scrolls right to furthest project end date whereas before it was endless? at least I'm sure it was…. Annoying as looking to confirm Non working dates saved in settings for the year are displaying the coloured column. Further, @Genevieve P. Is it planned or possible to have Non working days show in Timeline view?

Cheers.

    Hi @Jason P

Thanks for clarifying your scenario. In this case you're correct - if you want to keep the Day-Week view, then in order to see more than a few weeks past the end date of your project, you will need to add in a date later on in the year (such as January 1, 2026). This will then allow you to scroll all the way through 2025!

You can then remove out that row/data before saving the sheet.

    Cheers,
    Genevieve

  • Hi @Jason P

You should still be able to zoom out and see more dates/years in your Gantt view. 🙂

That's great feedback regarding Timeline View! If you could post this as an Idea, this will then get sent to the Product team and enable others to vote on your suggestion as well.

    Thanks,
    Genevieve

    Morning @Genevieve P.

    Thanks for getting back.

If I recall we did not have to zoom out to scroll forward through Days & months or into years. Zooming out x 1 we now loose days going to weeks / MTh & going further condenses further. Nothing major but annoying that if looking to see if August 22nd 2025 is a Monday or a non working we need to leave smartsheet for the PC calendar Vs scroll right…

    Cheers.
